Overview
The full Google OAuth 2.0 “Sign in with Google” authentication system has been successfully configured and activated on catalystwin.com using the Site Kit plugin.
This milestone establishes a secure, fast, modern login mechanism for Catalyst Win contributors, interns, clients, and partners. It is the foundation for the future onboarding systems (invite codes, NDAs, profile creation, contributor dashboards, etc.).
What Was Completed
1. Google Cloud Project Setup
A new Google Cloud project was created with the correct identity configuration:
2. OAuth Credentials Generated
(Values stored securely within Google Cloud and Site Kit)
3. WordPress ↔ Site Kit Integration Completed
Inside WordPress:
Site Kit → Settings → Connected Services → Sign-In With Google
The setup processed successfully and now displays:
- “Connected ✔”
- Button theme options
- One Tap sign-in toggle
- User registration toggle
This confirms correct OAuth handshake and validated keys.
4. Successful Activation Message
The backend displayed the confirmation banner:
“You successfully set up Sign in with Google!
Sign in with Google button was added to your site login page.”
This verifies everything is functioning end-to-end.
